Like any success in life. It does take time to be successful, but with the right training and consistent focused efforts you can too can become an expert online with your own authority website. But, you will need to be mindful of three key points:
It’s going to be challenging: When I first started out I noticed the industry leaders and was naive in thinking that I could create an online business and be successful overnight. Nothing is further from the truth, you’ll likely have a lot of trial and error before you actually succeed so you need to have persistence, commitment and sheer determination.
You will have to work at it consistently: I know I’m not alone when I ѕау thаt “Rіѕе and Grind” іѕ a mаntrа thаt many оnlіnе entrepreneurs lіvе bу when еxрlаіnіng whаt уоu need tо dо in оrdеr tо ѕuссееd. Bаѕісаllу, thеу are ѕауіng that wаkіng up аnd wоrkіng hаrd еvеrу ѕіnglе dау іѕ thе thіng thаt іѕ gоіng tо make you ѕuссееd.
Start Working Now: If you really want to succeed at being an entrepreneur online, what the first think you need to do? Get started! Some people have the idea that they will leave their full-time job and then get started on their online business, but this can be a big mistake. Take advantage of the spare hours you have each day, the income you have and build your future on the side.
Your Work Ethic Defines Your Success
Remember this, the effort you put forth right now will lead to success down the road…and can lead to success forever.
Because it is ONLINE, people for some reason think that it won’t take much work, or they can click a few buttons on their mobile device and build a flourishing business. It will not happen like that. That has happened to NOBODY…EVER.
There is a formula that is well tested over the years. It is EFFORT IN = RESULTS OUT. That formula is how to create results in your business, nothing more complex.
Your work ethic is key. Don’t think you can be like the 4 hour work week straight away, eventually yes, but you need to work your butt off initially to lay the foundation for your future success. You must work hard and then take a few weeks off. The Idea you can work very little is a fallacy.
The online world is not like a typical job, you might work 3-4 hours a day for a month straight. Your results are not reflected straight away, but usually around 3-6 months down the track. In the initial stages you are building out the foundation to your business that will produce for many years to come.
Unlike job (where you get paid by the hour), if you work 8 hours a day you are not going to get paid 2 weeks from now. So when you put in the effort right now. In this very moment, many with an employee mindset expect a “result” from their efforts right away. They give up when the don’t see that. That is what I see ALL THE TIME.
Remember this, the effort you put forth right now will lead to success down the road…and can lead to success forever.
Failure Management and Understanding How to Manage Failure
The truth is you’re going to fail a few times. It is OK to fail, it is not OK to stay a failure. Most people get caught like a deer in headlights when they come across the first thought of possible failure. Fear of failure should not prevent action, the fear of failure should lead to more action

Let me ask a few questions here.
Do you want to know what the average child does when they fail? They try again.
Do you want to know what the average adult does when they fail? They give up.
Think about that for a second.
Failure management and how to effectively move forward after you have hit a wall, lost money, or had an entire campaign fail, has much more to do with the actual success someone creates that most people actually think.
When was the last time you failed? What was your natural reaction to this? Did it upset you?
It is upsetting, and more so as we get older and are conditioned to just “do what you are good at”. We get into the rut of our day to day lives and often don’t stretch our capabilities, which are limitless. But the reality is, our WHY and the kid in us is what can truly drive us to success in business. That lack of fear and even the naivety when trying something new. We think we can accomplish anything and the reality is that we usually can (except for when we think we can fly LoL).
How to Appropriately Manage Failure
Even for me, I realized my first two websites were not in a niche I was passionate about so I moved on. So as a seasoned “failure”, how do I manage the event of “failing”?.
(1) View Failure as a Learning Experience. Don’t act like a deer in headlights when you fail. Every time you fail at something, you learn from it. But if you still have a job, then you can fail and it isn’t that big a deal because you still have a paycheck to cover you as you’re starting out.
(2) Fear Inaction More Than Failure. I’m reiterating the point about start working now, take action. The idea of “failure” can stifle people. It has been given a bad name in life, perhaps you have failed a few times at something else?
There will eventually be the transition between the failure to success, but it won’t happen if you don’t do anything at all (as a result of your fear to fail).
Listen at Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player of all time:
“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty six times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed.” Michael Jordan
Look at the track record of “failure” from the greatest of all time!
(3) Don’t Aim for Perfection.
Don’t aim for perfection it is going to constrain your productivity. The fastest path to success is not through perfection, it is through “doing”.
Don’t aim for perfection until someone has been able to interact with what you create, like your blog articles. Better to produce 10 articles than 1 perfect article.

What is Possible with Affiliate Marketing?
I show some examples and success stories on my article, including how profitable can affiliate marketing really be. But I want to focus on one thing first.
It only takes ONE thing to lead to success.
I am sure you have heard all the stories out there, from the startup of eBay from nothing, to someone selling bohemian jewelry on Etsy and making a million dollars. That is the reality, you only have to be great at one little tiny niche to be very successful online.
There is this natural tendency to think that you have to be involved in all sorts of different niches and businesses to be successful. The reality is, the people that try to do that typically fail (although there are some exceptions). Those that have a super focus on being the best within their niche, and by immersing themselves within their niche, are those that create long term and sustainable businesses.
So how do you choose that one thing or even know if your ONE thing is something that can lead to long term success? Well that can be a little more tricky, but it only becomes this way if you over complicate what you are doing or you are trying to come up with the perfect niche.
The “one thing” approach is another one of the biggest contributing factors to success, and it is something that can easily swing the success scale from a lackluster business to a succeeding one.
When approaching your business as the ONE business, your mindset changes, the sense of overwhelm vanishes, and a sense of simplicity comes before you. You are only running ONE website, one business and working with one niche. Things feel much less complicated.
Here are some tips that I recommend you implement to move to ONE thing.
- Move on Quickly if you don’t like your first niche (I did!).
- Choose something that you are capable of holding interest in for years, not weeks.
- Be passionate about helping others and success itself, then you don’t have to be so passionate about your niche.
- Don’t chase something that you think is profitable, everything is. Choose something you will be interested in.
- Get involved in more niche websites ONLY After You Have the formula for success within one.
One of my mentors has written posts on his websites over the years that have lead to years of income, from ONE post. A few hours worth of work, $10,000’s. But the results weren’t immediate, and they certainly didn’t happen until his website had enough authority to gain that sort of traction.
But that is the reality of what can happen as you build out your business.
Let me explain further, one single niche article on an authority niche website you created. This may take 1-2 years to get established, maybe you get on page 1 of search results and can get 1,000-5,000 unique clicks/month so 12,000-60,000 per year. Well firstly its important to understand, If you were to buy that traffic at low end of 50c/click this may cost a whopping $6,000-$30,000.
So as you build out your website, you are going to do things that take 1-2 hours of your time but get paid the dividends that are far more than 1,000 hours of work in an hourly job. That’s the reality as you establish and start to scale your business.
So when you are established, far more dividends and success than an hourly job could ever pay you.
Get yourself out of the job mentality, it is a trap. If you want $3,000-$5,000 in income in 3 months, this is probably not possible but give yourself a years time frame you can truly establish something at that point. And you’re giving yourself adequate time to create a long term and truly sustainable business. One that you can scale something beyond anything in the offline world and with way less effort.
