[2021 FXMODE REVIEW] Is FxMode a Scam – A Profitable Bot or Ripoff?

Earn From Your Laptop

There are quite a few points that I had to look under for this FxMode review because there’s one thing that I can tell you about this service: there truly is more to them than meets the eye. Unlike the other reviews that may pop-up when you search for “is FxMode a scam” we’re here to dissect and weigh the other details that most reviews haven’t found yet.

is fxmode a scam featured image fxmode review

I’m sure that the reason why you’re here is that you’ve seen a YouTube ad about FxMode Alerts. With their claim of easy money with their tool and “copy trading” I should say it was truly enticing, but also intriguing.

I was actually shocked with the result of my investigation.

An FxMode Review Summary

Product Name: FxMode

Owners: Unknown but it is associated with David Vlas and Kirill Radkovich

Prices: $295/month or $1,995/year

Overall Rating: 4/100

Offered to: People who want automated trading that reaps profits

Recommended: Not Recommended

What Is FxMode about: FxMode offers a trading bot, community, and strategy planning for passively reaping profits through Forex trading.

Summary: FxMode still has to prove the legitimacy and actual potential of their product since they were only established last year.

What is FxMode About?

is fxmode a scam logo image fxmode review

FxMode claims that they have a trading bot the people can use to copy trades and can help them gain their initial investment in their FxMode program. Sounds too good to be true right?

In this FxMode review I actually  found a few inconsistencies in their claims and the whole shebang, but we’ll dig deeper later in this article.

For now here is a screenshot of their introductory video on their homepage.

is FxMode a Scam Claims on Homepage

When I looked around their website, I found that you can sign-up for what seemed like an onboarding dashboard that they call “FxMode Alerts Lite” for free.

You can do this by clicking the “Want To Learn More?” button under the video on the homepage.

is fxmode a scam button signup access onboarding resources fxmode review
You can explore their onboarding program when you signup using the
“Want to Learn More” button

Inside you’ll find 12 tutorial videos about the basics of trading and a few points on how to use their bot. I did not take screenshots of it for copyright reasons but you can access it for yourself.

Basically it looks like an onboarding program for inexperienced traders and those looking into their product.

On the few last videos, they will let you in on their discord server or most likely the community they maintain for FxMode. I did try to get in on the discord server but their captcha that would send a message to my number just did not work.

Reality Behind Trading Bots

Trading bots are called Expert Advisors and are usually used in trading platform and cryptocurrency exchanges. These trading bots are allowed only in some fiat trading avenues, and is mostly allowed in cryptocurrency platforms. While not most of them are illegal EAs are usually used so that traders can be helped with their decision making skills and especially in their peak moments of generating gains and accumulation of losses.

Basically these bots are used to help people recognize good entry and exit points even when they are at a peak emotional state.

Inside their FxMode’s onboarding program, they mentioned that they also use unregulated brokers however they did not mention if their bot can be used in regulated brokers too. But there was more to their mention of some brokers in their website.

Find this out later in the article.

People Behind FxMode

It’s interesting that when you search David Vlas and Kirill Radkovich, reviews about FxMode are not just the ones that would pop-up. Well I found that they are also mentioned in the terms and conditions page of YTRev.

is fxmode a scam mention david vlas kirill radkovich ytrev fxmode review

David Vlas is a YouTube persona and from what I have found there is an editor of David’s videos that comes up as “k.radkovich” in their old videos. Since David Vlas has more public exposure than the elusive figure Kirill, will it be safe to assume that it’s most likely that they are partners?

Partners in crime or just good old business partners?

A Deeper Look Beyond FxMode

So we’ll go about with the method used by John in his Analysts Class review so we can have a better look at connections and things for this FxMode review.

Domain Age

Domain age is basically knowing when a website was created so for this one I included details of YTrev.com too since they basically are connected to the same people. Here’s what I found:

is fxmode a scam domain details fxmode review
FxMode.co was created June 2, 2020
is fxmode a scam ytrev domain details fxmode review
YTRev.com was created April 22, 2020

It looks like YTRev was registered two months ahead of FxMode. Nothing suspicious here though since anyone can basically buy domains anytime they want.

Backlinks

As John mentioned, backlinks are a good measure of the authenticity of a business website. So here’s what we found on the two websites:

is fxmode a scam fxmode review backlink profile
FxMode.co has a good amount of backlinks
is fxmode a scam fxmode review backlink profile 2
YTrev.com is a little behind FxMode

So far so good with the two websites as they have a good amount of backlinks even as they were just created a year ago. The amount of baclinks that they have is perfectly normal for a young website.

Although you can see from above that one of FxMode’s top anchors is quite off: ”free money”.

Why would they want to rank for that keyword?

But then I tried to investigate further and what I found shocked me.

Beyond FxMode: Inconsistencies and Connections

Here we crosscheck the other FxMode.co reviews and see if we can get a peak of what’s the real deal behind this “trading bot”.

Observations by Selimology

There seems to be a lack of FxMode reviews, I found this YouTube video by Selimology and which gave a good insight of the other things that we’ll discuss later in this article.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7PAV7xbPxk

  1. It turns out that he had screenshots of Trustpilot reviews of FxMode before it was “deleted”. A bit suspicious but also can be a reputation management move. We’ll go over this issue as we discuss the online testimonials later in this article.
  2. He showed cropped sections of the terms and conditions of FxMode but when I checked those clauses were most likely omitted or changed. See below.
is fxmode a scam revised refund details fxmode review
Current Refund Terms which is different from Comparing from Selimology’s video
  1. The video also showed that they have changed their old header that “promised 34k passive income” and they have continuously optimized it as it now mentions “Connecting You Directly To Our Top Traders, Passively.”
is fxmode a scam revised header fxmode review
Old webpage headers from the video by Selimology
  1. The current homepage video also no longer emphasizes the membership fee as shown in Selimology’s video. But here comes the revelation.
  2. Selimology mentioned that he found some proof of trades that were dated 2019, when the company was actually formed in 2020. Well we found a few proofs of that too. You might not see them in the “Member Results”, their dedicated page for “proof of trades” ; it’s actually in the homepage video which you can see for yourself on 1:53 and 3:03 timestamps.
is fxmode a scam 2019 trade proof timestamp 1:53 fxmode review
is fxmode a scam 2019 trade proof timestamp 3:03 fxmode review

The FxMode review by Selimology shows FxMode puts their resources not only on their advertising budget but also on managing their brand reputation by continuously optimizing their website, claiming their product pages on review sites and updating their public resources.

But this rings a hard truth I see as a marketer for 4 years now: FxMode is still treading the waters as a new product or could it be could a rebranded product? As a rebranded product, this can justify the reason why they may be using proof of trades from way back 2019.

If they have the budget to focus on advertising and branding, we now wonder if they are also putting enough investment on their product development.

Other Connections

I tried to connect some dots between YTrev and FxMode.

Well honestly, I would be more likely to purchase from YTrev if David Vlas endorses it because it’s his expertise. YouTube has been the ground and source of his fame for up until now. He truly has the authority over teaching people about creating revenue from YouTube. So I can’t really connect the dots between the two ventures, up until I came here upon a YouTube social link on YTrev’s page and it brought me to the DavidVlasBusiness YouTube Channel.

So this must be where he directly endorses his business ventures! I tried looking into one of his videos where he mentioned FxMode and well, I found red flags and negative reviews in the comment section. See for yourself.

So as someone who got more curious than ever, I also tried searching for David Vlasenko Business on Google Search and I accidentally clicked Images and found this:

is fxmode a scam david vlasenko business cryptorev teachable fxmode review

I’m not sure if he still uses the website hosted on teachable because there were images that don’t load in the homepage. But I found that it’s the same structure as FxMode and YTrev: a program offering coaching, video tutorials, and building up a community.

This then brought me to the idea that maybe he’s expanding his business and trying out different ventures. FxMode could be one of his investments.

Let’s go more into this angle later in this piece. I hope you’re still with me!

What does the FxMode Offer?

FxMode is structured as a membership-bound community that uses an automated trading bot that can help traders in copy trading to easily and passively trade without doing anything. Now that’s the too good to be true part.

As an experienced trader myself, I know that even if you have a bot, it wouldn’t guarantee gains especially if you’re looking into trading forex and crypto trading because they are very volatile and quite unpredictable at times.

Booking a Call

Aside from the membership fees for signal alerts and using the trading bot, FxMode offers a qualifying call for people who can afford to shell out $2,000 for a “strategy session”.

In marketing, we call this lead generation strategy as “qualifying leads”. Now I wonder if there actually were people who have availed these.

is fxmode a scam book a call quailifying tactic fxmode review

Claims

On the homepage they claimed that they have 8 years of experience with 85% higher win rate. So did David Vlas start trading when he was 13 years old?

If he actually is in touch with top traders, then why be the front persona of the business? Can’t he name other people?

FxMode Refund Policy

Here’s a snippet of the Refund Policy that we cited earlier:

is fxmode a scam book refund policy fxmode review

So FxMode does offer refunds ~as long as it’s either just an initial fee and/or when you don’t accept a private discount.

This means that anyone who wants to try out FxMode should watch out for those initial discounts that may be offered or else you may forfeit a right to your 30-day refund.

How Does FxMode Work?

According to his videos, he copy trades using their FxMode bot and that’s all there is to it! Hopefully they are like e-Toro too who profiles the people that most people are copy trading from because you don’t want to risk your money with high-risk traders.

Can You Make money with FxMode?

I can’t say for sure because most trading bots are illegal (but there are legitimate ones too) and I still have a doubt on the legitimacy of the trading proofs and their online reviews.

FxMode Reviews and Online Testimonials

Is FxMode Legit?

Well the first thing that could help us gauge the legitimacy of services would be the reviews online. I should say that I can’t fully trust the good reviews like the ones below:

is fxmode a scam fxmode review reviews online

I’ll cite my reason in a while. We have mentioned earlier that a Youtube blogger showed screenshots of negative Trustpilot reviews before they were deleted from the account. I found a few of them but I also found a recent negative review as I was writing this (10-29-2021)

is fxmode a scam book recent trustpilot negative review fxmode review

I also saw that FxMode never really replied to the negative reviews and they just flagged them down:

is fxmode a scam book old trustpilot negative review fxmode review
Old Reviews of Trustpilot, some were mentioned in the video we have earlier
is fxmode a scam book trustpilot flagging activity not resolving fxmode review
FxMode activity on Truspilot

Plus it’s a little bit suspicious that they had two months straight of good reviews only:

is fxmode a scam 3LuNAJWoWcDy3sIO2PmX9KUL7g rGCQL6Brgi ZUNXrSVbzJViGa6jefVFrFN14wQ MfyJWGmUCP8AdfCdARAH1SorgXhpCXFANHzzX5SZRcR7DNOoQwU7Yp2Y0WIv8DkvWVUcO0

As an experienced marketer, this looks to me like a reputation management move. It’s very suspicious and this made the reviews shown in the front page seem unreliable.

Video Testimonials From Actual Users

Here’s a video testimonial I found with a former FxMode user:

Here is the trading chart he had when to document his FxMode review. It showed how unprofitable his trades were. Everything went downward although it had quite a good bullish run in the middle.

is fxmode a scam trade chart on FxMode review

Pros

  • They have a budget for ads, means they have actual budget
  • Has an onboarding area for curious people and interested ones

Cons

  • No credible and verifiable proofs
  • A new venture
  • Still early in development
  • Negative reviews are mostly just flagged and not responded to/resolved
  • Vague edge over existing trading bots

Is FxMode A Scam?

It’s very likely that FxMode doesn’t yet live up to its promises and could be just an unprofitable business venture that David Vlas has got himself in. Most likely it’s a startup venture that lacked planning and has been dedication most of its resources into advertising and reputation management.

With the complexity of actual trading plus the intricacies behind cryptocurrency, it’s very misleading to make it look like you can gain money just by copy trading or using a bot to do that for you. A reminder that I always tell my friends whenever they are looking into stock trading to always remember to only invest an amount that they are ready to lose because all beginner traders are set to experience losses as part of their learning.

To solely rely on a trading bot sounds like a nightmare to me, but maybe if you have quite a load of cash that you can risk into the volatile nature of ForEx and crypto trading, then maybe bots are for you. Plus if you’re willing to risk your trading money on a new product, then why not right?

[5 Hidden Truths] The Answer to “Is FxMode Legit”

  1. Not all brokers accept trading bots especially if you’re thinking of trading in Forex, EAs though are most commonly used in cryptocurrency exchanges. While it would be easy to change brokers, most of the time, you still need to have a minimum amount that you have to deposit to create an account.
  2. They did not mention that they are affiliated with some of their mentioned forex brokers in their website, I found three broker sign-up links with affiliate codes mentioned inside their onboarding program. While affiliate marketing is a legitimate way of earning they should mention that in their video content.
  3. There are much cheaper EA or trading bots out there that also offers free trial of bots before purchasing and they clearly have not discussed or mentioned what’s their edge over others. They just hype the “results” and “member claims” that are not even verifiable.
  4. There are more established trading bots out there and there are already free copy trading options on some trading platforms (ex: eToro)
  5. They did not mention the trading style that they use, while below strategies can be used if you’re manually trading, here are some of the trading styles that should be avoided by EAs:
Martingale trading styles (increasing lot size to recover from loss and reach profit)
Grid trading styles (placing multiple pending orders in both “buy” and “sell”
Using huge stop-loss or no stop-loss at all
Holding trades for a very long time
    Scalping strategies

[Final Say] Is FxMode a Scam?

If FxMode continues to focus more on their advertising budget and brand reputation management than their product development, then it would be likely that FxMode will continue to have an image that it is a scam.

While trading has it’s separate risk, I wouldn’t recommend investing or trying out FxMode because of the following:

  1. It has unverified ownership, reviews, and branding
  2. Most Forex brokerages do not allow the use of bots, thus there’s a chance that you might change your broker
  3. It still a long way before it can prove its legitimacy and the potential of their bot, since they were only established last year
  4. It’s a ripoff for the membership price

Until FxMode has actual and verifiable results of their claim, my verdict would be that FxMode is a probable scam.

Just to be fully transparent with you, I am not a user of FxMode myself and I do not endorse it in any way.

I have researched the website, testimonials, and information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what FxMode genuinely does. This is because I I know the risks of trading and I know people who have been burnt by programs with overpromises just like this in the past and I want to prevent others from making the same mistakes. A Badass FxMode Alternative

While it would be nice to have an actual product where you can earn just by a clicking without any experience or knowledge about a venture, it’s also risky and sounds quite suspicious. What you need is something that can help you learn how to earn online in a legitimate way so you can sustain it for a long-time and also so you can expand it in the future.

I actually prefer and recommend affiliate marketing because of these things:

  1. It’s legal
  2. You can do it anytime you want
  3. You can do it anywhere you want (from you laptop, tablet, or phone!)

I actually recommend this signing up on my top recommended program because it’s very comprehensive and detailed, plus there’s actual coaching from John to guide you as you start your affiliate marketing journey. What I like more about it is that it’s free to start! You can have a look around and see how it can help you earn from your laptop and if you want to learn more, imagine just subscribing for only $49 a month!

Answer-to-Earn Surveys

Best For: People who want to answer consumer surveys occasionally, and not as a main source of income

Recommended: Slightly Recommended

What Is Rakuten Insight Surveys About:
Rakuten Insight Inc. is one of the businesses under Rakuten Group who were the pioneer of online marketing research. They offer points in exchange for answering surveys that can be cumulatively collected up until it can be redeemed.

Summary:

It would be fair to say that Rakuten Insight surveys is a legitimate survey platform where you can earn. The common downside of platforms like these would be how you allow these platforms to know your information and how they won’t claim any responsibility for the demise of your account after they have referred you to their client’s website.

What is Rakuten Insights About?

Rakuten Group is a global company engaging in different business and services aligned with their vision to become a Global Innovation Company. Two of Rakuten’s businesses are Rakuten Insight and Rakuten Rewards.

We have covered Rakuten Rewards, a cash back and online shopping platform, in a previous article, and while it has a good intention of rebates, we don’t recommend it. Rakuten Insight on the other hand caters into partnering with brands to help conduct consumer research for their products and services.

The question now is, do we recommend it?

Below is a video from the YouTube channel of Rakuten US:

Concept Behind Rakuten Insight Surveys

Rakuten Insight is an online marketing research created by Rakuten to help international brands in their consumer profiling and research. They have created methods to validate and create high-quality responses so that it can give accurate results for their clients. This corporation was established in 2002.

If you missed out on our previous review about Rakuten, you should know that we did not recommend the service especially for those who are prone to overspend on online shopping platforms.

Countries Available

Rakuten Insight specializes research on the following countries:

A deeper look beyond Rakuten Insight Surveys

Former AIP Online Surveys
Before Rakuten Insight, Philippine users and those from India claimed that the platform they originally signed up on was called AIP online surveys which functioned just the same as the current platform. And from what I found, Rakuten used to have two consumer research branches, Rakuten Research and AIP Corporation. In 2018 they announced that they will rebrand and merge under the service name and logo of Rakuten Insight.

In my attempt to find out more about the other Rakuten Insight services, here’s what I found on Facebook:

What is Rakuten Insights about countries pages

I found that the countries mentioned in the previous section have their own Facebook pages!

And not just that…

I also found links into their signup pages. I was wrong.

So I tried signing up on the US website:

What is Rakuten Insights about signup ither country

Well that’s wonderful. Because that means I won’t be able to signup for other Rakuten Insight of other countries if I had a vain attempt to milk on their surveys.

Now I’m wondering, how about if I use a VPN? Read on and find out the answer!

What does the Rakuten Insight Surveys Offer?

Points and Rewards

Rakuten Insight gives out points after answering the surveys that they send out. These points can be accumulated up until it can be redeemed through Paypal as a Gift Check or through other payout methods.

Let’s look and compare the redeeming methods of the US and Indonesia.

US members can redeem their rewards through Paypal and as an Amazon Gift Card.

For Indonesia, rewards could be redeemed as a Sodexo EPass, Tokopedia Voucher, Lazada Voucher, JAG Voucher and as  Pizza Hut Voucher.

Amazing right?

How does Rakuten Insight Surveys Work?

I told you early on that you might want to sign up for Rakuten Insight right away but just before you do, read on so you can prevent making there five mistakes.

How to become a member of Rakuten Insight Surveys

But before we look into the 5 mistakes, here’s how you could sign-up:

1. Go to the Facebook Page for the country you’re in. If you’re not from any country that was mentioned above, I’m not really sure if VPN could work.
2. Click the website link that you could find on the about section of the Facebook profile then on the rightmost part click Sign Up.
3. You must be 16 and up to be included in the program. Choose how you want to create your profile, fill out necessary details and click the link on your email to activate your account.

This email will be where Rakuten Insight will send out links to the dashboard for the new and available surveys that are fit for your demographic profile.

Can it work for mobile?

Yes. The website works out fine even when you’re just using your phone to answer surveys.

How do you make money with Rakuten Insight Surveys?

A Rakuten Insight Survey Review and Testimonials

Most of the reviews and testimonials that you’ll find about Rakuten Insight are positive reviews. Rakuten is a well-known brand and they seem to live up to giving quality service and an authentic opportunity for their users. Here is an example of a video review about it:

Pros

  • It’s a legitimate survey website as it’s parent company is an established corporation.
  • You can earn from just answering surveys
  • It can be accessed even on mobile devices
  • You get to be part of global consumer surveys

Cons

  • There isn’t much surveys to answer
  • Points vary on each survey and could run out especially if you’re not early in answering the survey.
  • Cannot be a main source of income.
  • Most of the reviews of the platform is good but there are a few bad ones like this Rakuten Insight India review from Trustpilot

Is Rakuten Insight Surveys A Scam?

From an overall Rakuten Insight survey review, I can say that it is a legitimate survey platform that can help you earn although not handsomely, but just enough to be an occasional financial source.

What I like about Rakuten Insight Surveys

  1. You can be a part of global market research like this one.
  2. You can make money without paying for anything, even without exerting too much effort
  3. Can be answered through mobile.

What I don’t like about Rakuten Insight Surveys

  1. Only a few surveys per month, sometimes none. Maybe because it is demographically tailored.
  2. Sometimes it has surveys that require you to use desktops
  3. The referral program is not available for included countries.

Ready to make Passive Income Online?

Hi, I’m John. I created a passive income online. And I had no marketing skills or online experience when I started.

Before Signing Up on Rakuten Insight Don’t Make These 5 mistakes

1. Make sure that the email that you are using is the same as your Paypal account.

This is a good strategy by Rakuten to maintain the integrity of their data because people cannot make multiple accounts. So my question earlier is answered! No I can’t make multiple accounts even if I would use a VPN!

Why? Because Paypal only allows a maximum of 2 Paypal accounts, one should be Personal and the other one should be a Business account if ever.

What is Rakuten Insights about FAQ Paypal
Remember to use the same email address that you use for your Paypal account

2. Don’t expect to get surveys frequently

Although Rakuten Insight survey reviews show that they are 100% legitimate it seems to only have a few surveys for their members, while we know that this could vary, it’s really difficult to know which demographic will get the most surveys so you could accumulate your points.

3. Make sure to redeem your points before withdrawing your membership

If you have reached the minimum points so you can redeem a cash incentive, make sure that you withdraw it before you close your account for good because Rakuten will forfeit those if you forgot to redeem them.

What is Rakuten Insights about policies withdrawal
Redeem your points before closing your account

4. Answer surveys quickly

Some Rakuten Insight surveys are time-sensitive and they close out when the required number or people have already answered.

It would be best to answer surveys right after you received them so you can be given points for answering before the slots ran out. Remember there are only a few surveys that would come up for your demographic every now and then. It would be best to answer them quickly.

5. Make sure that you truthfully answer the surveys abide by policies

Rakuten targets respondents based on their demographic and based on the social profile that the respondent has indicated in their account. They usually send out surveys that verifies and updates a profile so make sure to answer them truthfully as they cross check it for data validation.

Any false registration or duplicate account can result in a termination and suspension of your account.

What is Rakuten Insights about duplicate memebrship
Don’t sign up twice!

So again NOPE. Even with a VPN of two Paypal accounts you can’t abuse the platform!

I have researched the website, testimonials, and other information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what Rakuten Insight  genuinely does. This is because I have been burnt from programs just like this in the past and I want to prevent others from making the same mistakes. If you’d like to learn Ways to Avoid Online Scams then click the highlighted text.

[Final Thoughts] What is Rakuten Insights About – Is It profitable?

Verdict: Rakuten Insight surveys is a legitimate survey platform where you can earn.

The common downside of survey platforms like these, aside from meager earning, is that you allow these platforms to know your information and they won’t claim any responsibility for the demise of your account after they have referred you to their client’s website.

A prime example would be this part in their Policies:

What is Rakuten Insights about privacy policy personla data

While it can be a source of passive income, it does not have a steady supply of surveys since they have to tailor it into the demographic needed by their brand partner. This means that you can’t expect to be able to withdraw monthly or even yearly with this program. But I do slightly recommend it because it’s a legitimate company and a lot of people have good reviews and testimonials about it.

But here’s the catch…

How I Make a Passive Income Online [A Better Alternative]

There are more profitable passive income opportunities than Rakuten Insight surveys. You won’t need to worry about a misuse of your personal information or painstakingly answer surveys only to not profit from it for a year.

What I have for you is a community, a pool of trainings and supportive coaches that will help you set-up for a real affiliate marketing opportunity where you can learn how to become an ambassador for brands and earn directly from referrals.

If you want to make money online in a legitimate and sustainable way, you may need a had to help you as you learn how to start an online business.

And it’s actually what I do!

Here’s why I recommend it:

  1. You can do this in your own time
  2. You don’t need to have physical products that could eat up space in your home
  3. You can do this from your laptop, even on your phones and tablets!
  4. The effort you put in learning can become a passive income over time
  5. You can scale your business anytime
  6. There are no beginners, only eager learners!

Here’s what I’m talking about…

IInstead of spending your precious time into answering surveys that you have little potential to even redeem in a year, here’s a program that can help you — plus, it’s free to get started. If you’re thinking about doing this full-time, going premium is just $49/month.

In the end, you’ll learn valuable skills and earn more than the time you’d spend on survey sites!

What Is Traffic Authority About:

A traffic creating service for businesses to drive and create more leads and conversions for their client’s website. They also have a commission-based reseller program for interested individuals.

Summary:

Traffic Authority is a traffic-driving service which may help business websites to establish leads and create sales. They also offer a reseller program with training and provided tools. While this may help businesses and has a legitimate business scheme, the quality of traffic is not definite and the upsells are very expensive. People also find it hard to reach their support teams. They also seem to be less upfront with their other terms and conditions which could be a reason why there were issues with their users.

Get ready because here’s a Traffic Authority review that looks into different perspectives that the other reviews have missed.

What is Traffic Authority About?

Traffic Authority offers a traffic-generating service and an MLM-structured reselling scheme which can be summed up in the video from their website:

People behind Traffic Authority and Related Businesses

is traffic authority a scam unnamed

The founders of Traffic Authority are Chad Stalvey, Greg Chambers, and Doug Wellens and they run it under Streamlined Marketing Systems.  Mack Mills, a reputable affiliate marketing figure, is also a front person endorsing Traffic Authority together with Multiple Funnel Income (a product created by Traffic Authority in 2020).

When you investigate the founders of Traffic Authority, you might encounter other businesses that some of them are associated with like Finish Line Network,  Infinite Leverage System and Cash Club.

Finish Line Network

As of writing, Finish Line Network seems to be at their finish line too. Not sure if they forgot to renew the domain or it’s going away for good.

is traffic authority a scam Screenshot 2021 10 25 222942
Finish Line Network on the finish line

But just a quick run through, Finish Line Network is composed of three other companies (one of which is Traffic Authority) and aims to help marketers learn the ropes of marketing through their online products.

Infinite Leverage System

This one is also an MLM structured venture with a product they called Click Brilliance that offered functions like analytics, website tracking and monitoring. While they offer premium prices for the products, these features can actually be integrated on your business for free using different Google tools.

While you may see reviews about this product, as of the moment, the domain is no longer active and is not redirected to any website.

But if you will watch the video on the first few paragraphs of this article, you’ll find that Traffic Authority mentioned this as the scheme that they use for their referral program.

The question now is, is Traffic Authority the rehashed Infinite Leverage System?

Club Cash Fund

Now this is quite interesting since this one is a direct mail cash gifting system where a member initially pays $100 for membership (which includes receiving tools for learning about marketing). For you to earn, you need to refer people and have them sign-up like you do, and from there you can clearly see how it’s the typical MLM scheme with no guarantee of returns.

is traffic authority a scam club cashfund

As you can see from their website, you can’t actually know what they are offering since the landing page requires a Sponsor’s name for you to access. They also admit that there is no guarantee of income plus, there are no refunds according to the website’s Refund Policy. (See image below)

With all these businesses associated with the owners of Traffic Authority, the question now becomes, is Traffic Authority just an overall rebranded and a rehash of their failed businesses?

A deeper look beyond Traffic Authority

To gauge the legitimacy (or otherwise) of a business let’s look at other points that most reviews have missed.

Trademark

You can see from the photo below that they claimed the trademark under a “Christian Barker” and it is described as  “Workshops and webinars for educating others regarding online advertising and generating an increase in web traffic for business purposes.”

Now I wonder how they create traffic if they categorize themselves Education and Entertainment…

Trademark information from Trademarkia

Domain Age

It would be worth noting that the domain name was created in 2015 which means that their website must have been live for 6 years now.

is traffic authority a scam Domain age

Well that’s a shock because they claimed that they have been “supplying premium top tier traffic of the past 18 years”. Well let’s just say that it’s a typical “bloating” tactic by businesses.

Traffic Authority’s claim on their website

So I then tried to find relevant information about Streamline Marketing Systems. Maybe they cumulatively used the years with its parent company.

Here’s what I found from DNB, aside from mentioning John C. Stalvey, it also showed an overview of the company:

Hmmm, 4 employees only?

We can then say that they are still a few years short to claim 18 years of service! While we can’t fully know how they actually counted their years of providing service. It’s just confusing how there are only four employees and they generate that income.

But realistically, we can look at it that maybe the four of them has their own “product/service” and Traffic Authority is just one of them.

What does the Traffic Authority Offer?

Traffic Authority offers products related to creating traffic for websites and provides educational resources about it. Together with these is their offer of reselling their products for commissions which they term as their Affiliate opportunity.

Below is the summary of the products

Traffic Authority Products

Traffic Store ($220 to $8,397)
Traffic Authority wrote that the Traffic that you can get from here is premium traffic which is 100% from the USA and Canada.

Simply said, we can assume that they offer geo-targeted advertising according to your budget.

Traffic Optimizer ($47/monthly)

For this product they mentioned that they offer resources for Email Capture Pages. Link tracker, Split-Testing, Pop-ups, Timers and Exit Pages.

Since Traffic Optimizer is the least costly of all the products it’s likely that it would be the popular choice. And here’s what I found on their checkout page for this lone product. One word: UPSELLING

is traffic authority a scam Top Earners package

While the instant features of this product are valuable for marketers these can also be easily integrated for free through your website’s page builder (pop-up, timers and exit pages), Google Analytics (analysis of traffic and geo-location) and Google Optimize (split testing of landing pages).

Traffic Academy ($97/monthly)
These video modules offer certification and training for traffic and lead generation. They offer a 30-day training plan.

Let’s assume that you could complete the training in 30 days, then that would be $97.

Now we wonder why there is the option to subscribe to it monthly, are videos aplenty? Or are there hidden upsells and conditions in the courses?

List Leverage (or Email Builder)

They mentioned that this “software solution” can help people build their email list by creating high-quality leads through their capture pages.

For this product they offer two options:

Newbie Program = $49/month
Super Affiliate = $398/year

But for this product they have additional one-time payment upgrades ranging from $97-$497.

Traffic Authority Affiliate/Reseller Program

Surprisingly their affiliate program comes in two options:

1. A person can become an affiliate once they buy the product themselves

2. A person can become an affiliate once they have sold the same product thrice.

Traffic Authority Refund

This is the Refund Policy posted on their website :

is traffic authority a scam Refund

While this mentions a 30-day satisfaction guarantee of all “initial fees” it did not mention which fees are included and which fees are “subsequent”.

But you’ll be more confused with what I discovered next.

How does the Traffic Authority Work?

Here is a Traffic Authority review that gives an honest take on what the products actually do for businesses.

With this in regard, it would be fair to say that Traffic Authority drives leads through geo-targeted advertising about your business.

Or does it really?

But the thing is if they are running ads, then they should have a Google Partner badge as an advertising agency or third party. So how else would they create traffic, even if they can actually create traffic for your business how can you be sure of the quality of traffic to your page?

This next one is quite a surprising revelation that I found.

Traffic Authority Compensation Plan

From the Compensation Plan on their website here are the  details on how you can earn from their products as a reseller:

Traffic Optimizer License Key $20
Traffic Academy License Key $50
Annual Membership $80 – $400*
Basic Traffic Package $100
Bronze Traffic Package $200
Silver Traffic Package $300
Gold Traffic Package $500
Platinum Traffic Package $1000
Titanium Traffic Package $2000
Diamond Traffic Package $4000

Oops look at that they never mentioned a hefty annual membership fee! Plus look at what I found regarding Refunds as an affiliate:

is traffic authority a scam refund CP
So if you’re an affiliate, you can’t have a refund?

So does it mean that if you become an Affiliate (which they push you in even when just want and you plan to purchase or upgrade your Traffic Package (from your commissions, or maybe from your own pockets) then does it mean that you’re no longer eligible for the “30-day satisfaction guarantee” that they mentioned on their Refund Policy page?

Can you make money with the Traffic Authority?

There would be two ways that you can make money from Traffic Authority.

  1. Quality leads that convert to sales on your website
You can make money with Traffic Authority if they can actually give you high-quality leads that would convert on your business website.
  2. From their affiliate program
If you make enough reselling (without purchasing anything) and your commissions aren’t consumed up by their membership fee then maybe you can make money here.

Traffic Authority Income Disclosure

A good measure of how much you can earn from an MLM scheme would be their income disclosure. Here’s Traffic Authority’s income disclosure or rather their “disclaimer”.

is traffic authority a scam Compensation Plan 1

They said that there is no guarantee of income because it would require “hard work, dedication and good sales skills”. Whatever figure they intended to post in this disclaimer seems to have been left out too.

We now wonder how long the “illustration” for “educational purposes” has been missing.

A Traffic Authority Review: Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Has long been established (6 years)
  • An elaborate business structure
  • Offers educational resources

Here is a review from an affiliate of Traffic Authority:

Cons

  • Vague Refund Policy
  • Questionable Traffic Source and Quality
  • Hidden Upsells
  • Hidden Fees (Membership Fee)
  • Other unsuccessful/obsolete MLM businesses set-up by owners
  • Overpriced products with features that can be accessed for free on other platforms
  • Testimonials cannot be verified

An honest and verifiable testimonial will likely link to the business website of the reviewer
  • They seem to be in a bit of fiasco when accessed through Multiple Funnels Income (see BBB Complaint below)

The above is the most recent Traffic Authority Review from BBB. While it has been resolved already you can find in their thread conversation that people availing Multiple Funnel Income (another MLM by Traffic Authority created in 2018)  seems to be a bit misled or maybe confused through their MIF purchase.

Is Traffic Authority A Scam?

Traffic Authority is an MLM business that aims to create traffic for websites. Their source, method, and quality of traffic is questionable, and they offer products with features that are mostly free from other services.

They also have hidden fees, upsells and quite confusing elaborate policies. Their products would only be good if you have the financial means to try out what they offer.

It would be fair to say that their affiliate program could be profitable if you can continuously sell their products without paying anything– and hopefully you won’t ever be enticed to upgrade.

But that’s not all.

What I Like About Traffic Authority

  1. Educational Resources about creating Traffic
$97 would be a reasonable amount if you want to learn about creating traffic and capturing leads. Hopefully if you have the time in your hands and tools that may be needed, you can finish everything in a month.

It would be best if the Traffic Academy can be rewatched over and over again, but maybe that’s the point of the monthly subscription plan.
  2. An option to not purchase anything but still become an affiliate
While Traffic Authority Affiliates could choose to not purchase anything, they still need to create three sales for a product for them to be eligible for a Compensation Level.

4 reasons why you should avoid Traffic Authority

Unverified Quality of Leads
There is no explanation how Traffic Authority generates traffic, and in business the quality of traffic doesn’t depend on the number of clicks generated but should be on the sales conversion. This means that even if your website has good traffic and only a few conversions, what you then need would be to remarket on your email leads.

Truly, it’s not as simple as just a click and wait program.

Hidden upsells and fees
When you choose the Traffic Optimizer Package you’ll be brought to a checkout page that will try to convince you to upgrade to a $144 Package with a Traffic Academy Access. Another would be the List Leverages overpriced Membership Fee and upgrade packages.

Overpriced products with features that can be accessed for free on other platforms
Features of Traffic Optimizer and Traffic Store are almost the same when you use Google Ads, Google Analytics and Google Optimize. You can even try Google Skillshop if you want to learn how to use these tools for free.

You can generate traffic geo-targeted population for your business on your budget through Google Ads; track the geo-location of the source of your traffic on Google Analytics and split-test landing pages through Google Optimize.

Unsuccessful/obsolete MLM businesses set-up by owners
While it’s good to admit that not all businesses find success in just one try, it would be best to check past reviews of their other business, find actual people who availed and gauge their experience.

My Final Verdict About Traffic Authority

I would say that I don’t recommend Traffic Authority because it’s pricey and there are better and cheaper services and tools out there to help you generate traffic for your website for example:

  • Google Ads (Free, for geo-targeted traffic)
  • Google Optimize (Free, for split testing landing pages)
  • Google Analytics (Free, for tracking the performance of your website and traffic analysis
  • Page builders like Elementor, Brizy etc., for Pop-Ups and Exit Pages
  • Google Skillshop (Free for learning about tools and marketing tips)

While there are available tools that you can use anytime, self-learning how to generate traffic for your business is achievable. You only need to dedicate your time so you can learn about it.

Also the point of affiliate marketing is about direct commission without your uplines.

What 90% of Traffic Authority Reviews Leave Out

Most of Traffic Authority reviews that you may find only discuss the products, online reviews and reasons why they don’t recommend it. But here are five things that you need to consider to know if Traffic Authority is for you or not.

  1. Traffic quality is crucial for conversion
No matter how many leads you capture in your pages and no matter how much traffic you get, traffic quality should be measured in conversions. Imagine paying for traffic but only getting a handful of conversions. You might want to recompute your ROI.
  1. It can be profitable for affiliate/resellers only if you can manage to sell without purchasing anything
I find Traffic Authority’s reselling scheme profitable if you won’t purchase anything from them. I mean that’s the point of affiliate marketing, you should have the choice to purchase or not.
  2. Traffic generation for marketing is about keywords and targeting
Keywords are the root of all the marketing facets. From ads, to landing pages, web content, to lead generation!

If you’re a business owner or an aspiring blogger or affiliate marketer, you may need to understand how keywords play the ultimate part. It’s not enough that you get traffic for your website, you need to have traffic with the right keywords so you can create more conversions for your product.

Yes. It’s not as simple as clicking something and generating it.
  1. A true affiliate marketing opportunity won’t need uplines
A true affiliate marketing opportunity lets you earn through direct referrals. Anything that has uplines means it’s a good old MLM scheme.
Not that MLM is a bad tactic but it’s actually a lot harder to outright earn from it.
  2. Traffic Authority products may be useful but only for those with the financial capacity, reach, and for those with solid knowledge of sales and  marketing.
We have to acknowledge that Traffic Authority products may be useful to others who already have the network, influence and resources to pay for their premium products.

So again I may have to repeat, I don’t recommend this for beginners.

A better way to learn how to create traffic for your website- and it’s FREE!

So is Traffic Authority a scam? I don’t think Traffic is a scam since they have a good business structure. But while it’s not a scam I can’t recommend it to marketing beginners.

First, it’s costly.

Secondly, you need to have a solid understanding of marketing for you to understand how it can actually benefit you.

Here’s what I can recommend for marketing beginners: affiliate marketing. But let’s be clear, affiliate marketing is not like MLMs with uplines and downlines.

Beginners and those who are looking for real affiliate marketing opportunities need to first learn about actual keyword research and how to create content that generates traffic. It would be best to find a guide to tread through the ropes of  creating good sales, and traffic-generating content and not instant tools that are overpriced.

To sum up this Traffic Authority review, I’m letting you in on a FREE community and training to show you how actual affiliate marketing is. You can learn comprehensive marketing techniques and access a course here without paying for it first.

And yes, NO UPLINES.

Here is a comparison of the program I’m talking about vs. Traffic Authority:

But if you want a consistent income and a means to sustain your affiliate marketing career you can also opt to try the premium offer of Wealthy Affiliate inclusive of courses, guides, tools and support just about everything you may need for only $49/month.
